Members of Natural Resources Protective Association, with assistance from students of Our Lady Queen of Peace, teamed to remove over 700 lbs. of debris and garbage from Oakwood (Fox) Beach at the foot of Tarlton Avenue.  The cleanup was sponsored by American Littoral Society and supplies funded by Richmond County Savings foundation.

Debris removed included plastic and glass beverage containers, bait packaging, household toiletries, driftwood, party favors and 14 motorcycle tires.

NRPA member Anthony Rose gave a presentation on horseshoe crabs, Red Knot birds, sea robins and the web of marine life.
