LNG) terminal off the coast of Long
Beach, Long Island and are reviewing
ǁ ĞƚůĂŶĚ ƉĞƌŵŝƚ ĂĐƟǀ ŝƟĞƐ ŝŶ ^ƚĂƚĞŶ /ƐůĂŶĚ͘
^ŽŵĞ LJĞĂƌƐ ďĂĐŬ͕
ŽƵƌ ůĂƚĞ džĞĐƵƟǀ Ğ
Director, Kerry Sullivan, became involved
in a plan to clean up two contaminated
Brooklyn landfills and convert them into
parkland. We are happy to say that not
only have the landfills been remediated,
but they are well on their way to
becoming prime bird habitat. Two tours
of these old landfills, now renamed Penn
Fountain Park, will be held in the next few
ǁ ĞĞŬƐ͘

Finally, a cleaner shoreline is up to all of
us. Please remember that Clean Streets =
Clean Beaches. Trash dropped on city
streets washes into our waterways via

harms marine organisms.
