Members of NRPA, joined by NYC DEP, cleaned a quarter mile stretch of the New Creek Bluebelt at Hunter Ave, Midland Beach, today. The team removed over 300 lbs. of trash, and removed about 100 lbs. of Japanese knotweed, which was becoming a traffic hazard. The group observed muskrats, mallards, and turtles. The next NRPA event is a meeting at Blue Heron Park Nature Center on Tuesday, June 4.
